BOOKING YOUR TRANS-SIBERIAN RAIL TOUR

We aim to make the booking process of what can be quite a complex trip as easy as possible for you.

In this section you can learn about booking, payments, the small print in booking terms and conditions and a section on what happens once you have made a booking with us.

THE BOOKING PROCESS IN BRIEF

To make a booking we firstly need the booking forms to be completed – when ready to book we will send you the links to those. Once we have received these we will make all the necessary reservations and confirm as much of the trip that can be confirmed at the time (some elements can only be confirmed within certain time periods including first class tickets). At this point we will ask for the non-refundable deposit of 20% per person (not including any international flights) plus any international flights we are booking or the full balance due if less than 60 days* before the start of your trip. The final balance payment is due 60 days before your trip with us starts. For details of what happens from this point please see our “Once Booked” section.

*Tsars Gold, Golden Eagle and Imperial Russia private train trips require a 20% deposit plus any flights and full payment 90 days before the trip start date.

FINANCIAL PROTECTION FOR YOUR BOOKING

All bookings with us come with 100% Financial Protection through our ATOL License (10287), bonding and insurances and our ABTA membership (Y1699) and the strict criteria we must adhere to all designed to give you peace of mind. Please remember that any UK based company that offers flights as part of the trip must have a valid ATOL licence. If they do not they cannot sell you a tour with flights included and you will not be protected in the event of their financial failure.

PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR YOUR TOUR

On acceptance of your booking form we ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% per person (not including any international flights) plus any international flight fares applicable. Payment can be made by any one or a combination of the methods below. The remaining balance is required 60 days* before the start date of your holiday with us unless otherwise agreed in writing.

*Tsars Gold, Golden Eagle and Imperial Russia private train trips require a 20% deposit plus any flights and full payment 90 days before the trip start date.

PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER & CARDS

We can accept bank transfers to our UK bank account. When we confirm your booking we will confirm the bank transfer details you need to give to your bank. Please note that all transfer fees are yours to pay (fees mainly apply to international transfers). Once payment is received we will confirm receipt by e-mail. We can accept payment online by credit or debit card from Visa, MasterCard & American Express.

ON COMPLETING THE BOOKING FORMS

Once you have decided what you wish to book with us and have completed the booking form(s) we will confirm the itinerary and availability of all the parts of your trip that can be confirmed at that time.

At this point you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of 20% per person (not including any international flights) plus any international flight fares applicable. In the case of your trip starting in less than 60 days, the full amount payable for services booked with us.

On paying the deposit we will send you a receipt including the balance amount payable and by what date it needs to be settled – usually 60 days* before your trip with us starts.

ONE MONTH BEFORE YOUR TRIP STARTS

Four weeks before your trip start date we will send you a unique URL just for you for this website which allows you to access your client content page. This section includes downloads of your receipt, itinerary and a PDF copy of your personalised 200+ page Trip Guidebook to allow you to prepare for your trip. We will also send you a hard copy of your Trip Guidebook at this time.

DURING YOUR TRIP

We are proud of the fact that our trips run extremely smoothly despite the complex nature of the tours we put together. However, if there are any issues during your trip we provide 24 hour emergency contact numbers including for people on the ground at each destination you are visiting across the Trans-Siberian and throughout China. The numbers will be in your Trip Guidebook.

ON COMPLETION OF YOUR TRIP WITH US

On return from your trip you will invite you to complete our feedback form to let us know how your Trans-Siberian adventure went. Many of our clients keep in contact after their trip and some also book follow up trips with us and we hope you will do the same!
