TRANS-SIBERIAN UPDATES & INFORMATION

AN UPDATE FROM US – SPRING & SUMMER 2022

Firstly, we are shocked and appalled with the situation in Ukraine and our hearts go out to the people there. As things stand, we will be reviewing all our tours at 60 days before travel. We will contact each customer at that point to discuss the different options.

A big thank you to all our customers who have chosen to re-book their trips to a later date. By doing so you have not only helped us, but all our local partners and many of the local people and communities in through Russia, Mongolia and China who depend on tourism for their living and have nothing to do with the politics.

We are an independent and well established family run company that has been going for over 14 years. As many of you will know we also operate The China Travel Company, The Latin America Travel Company and The Luxury Train Travel Company.

We would like to reassure all our customers that we are financially secure. We offer the gold standard of consumer protection through our ATOL license, ABTA membership and additional IPP insurance. This means all monies paid to us are 100% protected.

Many of you are now starting to contact us about your 2023 and 2024 travel plans once the world has settled down. Even though travel is difficult at the moment we can still help you plan and dream so please keep in contact.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS IN PLACE

Your safety on our trips is paramount so our partners and us have put the following measures into place to do all we can to ensure your trip is as safe as possible.

PROTOCOL FOR ALL PUBLIC TRAIN TRIPS

★ Hand sanitiser will be provided on arrival at each destination for your personal use.
★ Guide and drivers are to wear masks both as per local rules but also if the client wishes them to do so even if local rules don’t require the wearing of masks.
★ Vehicle interiors to be throughly cleaned between different groups of clients.
★ Accommodation adheres to Covid measures with an emphasis on thorough cleaning and making sure distancing measures are followed.
★ Local suppliers have agreed procedures in place in case of illness.
★ Our guides and drivers are either regularly tested or will have been vaccinated against Covid 19.
★ All our suppliers have passed the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) “Safe Travels” certification.

FLEXIBILITY WITH BOOKING CONDITIONS

We’d like to emphasise that our approach to the coronavirus situation from the beginning has been to give our clients as much flexibility as possible.

PUBLIC TRAIN TOURS

If, up to 60 days of your date of departure, you are unable to travel as either you are prevented from leaving your home country by government guidance, or unable to enter the destination country as visitors are not permitted, then you can choose to either rebook your trip to a later date or receive a full refund.

Whether or not there is official guidance preventing you from travel, should you wish to rearrange your trip to a later date, or an alternative destination, you will be able to do so without charge up to 90 days in advance of your original departure date. Only additional costs for your new arrangements would be charged - these could be flight change fees or seasonal price differences.

As a smaller, independent company, we will always work with all our customers to find the best solution. We’d like to reassure you that should there be any future outbreaks or any other factors that prevent you from traveling, you will always be able to change or cancel your booking.

If we cancel a trip your payment to us is fully refundable or you can book to a new date free of additional costs. If you wish to change the date of a trip that is still scheduled to run there is no change penalty to do so although you will need to pay any difference in price.

TSARS GOLD PRIVATE TRAIN
