Where can tours starting in ULAANBAATAR finish?

Moscow and St Petersburg are the two usual finish points for a Trans-Mongolian tour departing from Ulaanbaatar. It would also be possible to finish in Vladivostok. There are both trips using the public and private trains along the Trans-Mongolian route.

why start a tour from ULAANBAATAR?

The usual reason to start a Trans-Mongolian tour from Mongolia is to miss out China. Some people may have already visited Beijing whist others are shorter on time or put off China by costs and needing a visa. Although we feel that if you have not been to China or Beijing before it is a must see destination we are happy to offer trips starting from Ulaanbaatar.

CAN WE SPEND LONGER IN MONGOLIA BEFORE THE TOUR?

Most of our trips starting from Ulaanbaatar have a fairly short stop in Mongolia before heading in to Russia. However, we can arrange longer tours in Mongolia including to the South Gobi, Khentii province and Lake Khuvsgul. Just ask us for details.
